i have a 1995 2130 chapparel with a 5.7 mag
with 21 stainless but a 14.75 dia

at wot i get like 4200 rpm but if i try to trim up more i feel it slipping or blowing it out and it will rev more but go just little slower my question is do i need to go down to a 19 or just smaller dia or will smaller dia hurt me more for trimming.

thanks todd

I would only add that the OP noted his filter was half full. That is more likely flow back and prevents the pump from getting primed.

Ayuh,.... Diameter varies by blade design, rather than a component of changin' rpms,...

I'd think a ssteel 19", with maybe some extra cuppin' to help the bite might be something to look at,....
Or,....
A ssteel of a different model/ blade design/ style,....

Yer motor will be Happiest as close to 4800 rpms Wot, as you can get,....

thank you it planes out very easy to just was curious if smaller dia would hurt me on being able to trim up before blowing out and see what everyone thought
