I am looking at an 02 voyager tritoon. It has lifting strakes, but only has a 90 horse 2-stroke Merc. Does anyone have an idea how this boat would perform? I am wondering about getting on plane and top speed. If anyone has a boat like this or experience with one I would appreciate it.

I have a 24 ft Starcraft with a 90 hp 2 stroke Merc, double toons and it runs great. It not a speed boat but it does what we want it to do. I pull rubber rafts with it . It's an 07.

That 02 90 horse two stroke Merc is a torquey (is that a word?) motor. With the strakes and the third toon it should perform nicely. There are circumstances that can mitigate performance of course, but off the top of my head I'd expect mid thirties, maybe even more under optimal conditions. Plenty for skiing and tubing. Beware though. Visits to the gas pump will be frequent if you pull toys behind her very often.

Thanks fellas. This boat is on a repo lot, so I can't talk to the owners. Sure would be nice to know how it runs speed wise.

If she's a repo be sure to go over her with a fine toothed comb. I'm sure you can imagine why. The nice thing about barges as opposed to other boat styles is the greatly reduced potential for hidden issues, but extra diligence is still in order.
