I have done the following.

Disconnect all kills. Disconnect rectifier.
Have trigger output. Have stator output. No powerpack output.

Replaced trigger & power pack still no spark.

Can something be wrong with the flywheel or stator even though im getting output???

The magnets on the flywheel are fine even the center hub...

Please help!!!

Thank you

You need 150 to 300 at the stator and that is with a peak voltage meter or a dva hook into your multimeter. 1 to 5 volts at the timer base (trigger) usually around 3 volts. I don't know if you unhook the neutal saftey switch but it could also take all spark away.

Get a DVA meter off ebay, around $59.

You also didn't say what yr or model.
225hp doesn't say much, thats like saying I have a red car.;)

Do you have the factory manual?

I have a DVA meter and i check the output of the trigger per the original manual and the reading is .3 and the stator outputs are 180. Also by disconnecting the kill cables under the power pack and unplugging the harness should eliminate the kill switches.

1995 Evinrude 225 Ocean Pro.

I do have the factory manual

Its optical ignition then, ok, try doing the tests per Bill Kelly at Mastertech.
I found my problem by following these tests.
This approach eliminates the need for the specialized ignition box used by factory trained techs.

some basic tests.

Check the kill lanyard and key-switch position.

Verify the engine rotation (The engine needs to be turning in a clockwise direction).

Check the power pack and ignition coil ground wires for corrosion and tightness.

Connect a spark gap tester to all cylinders.

Disconnect the boat side harness and connect a remote starter unit. Check for spark. If the engine has spark, check the boat side harness's black/yellow wire for shorts to ground.

Disconnect the 5-pin connector on the port side of the power pack and see if the spark returns. If it does, use the fluke meter set to ohms and see if the black/yellow wires are shorted to engine ground.

Check the battery voltage on the yellow/red striped wire while cranking the engine. If below 11 volts, charge the battery or check all battery cables.

Remove the sensor wheel and check for damage, especially where the top slots are located. Sometimes the wheels will break out where the windows overlap.

Check the sensor eyes for dirt, grease and the like. If you need to clean it, use denatured alcohol and a Q-tip. Do not use any other cleaning agent because damage to the optical lens will occur.

Disconnect the voltage regulator/rectifier and retest. If the engine now has spark, replace the regulator/rectifier.

or try,

The 225 does not use the optical ignition system, that is only on the 60? motors.

o.k guys thanks for your help finaaly figured out my issue.

It was one of two things...

Flywheel key or the center hub magnet has a cover and it apeared to be shifted. Put this all together and we have spark.

Finally.

Thanks,
