Its been a long hard summer for this boat. its a johnson model j225plass, year 1990.
All work has been done by the mechanic, only problem is he's 2 hours away and he's the closest thing around. He's had my boat for over 2 months and i finally get it back and its still not right. here's what he's done and what its doing.
Got a new starter, Stater, Powerpack, new thermostats and rebuild carbs. He claimed its now running great. Took out last night and it starts good BUT when putting into gear it dies. I have to put into gear and gas it to keep it running, after this she will scream! runs out great! slowing down and going back to neutral it will try to die again. The motor sounds like its not idling fast enough. Also, my tach doesn't work anymore either???
Is there any idle adjustments that can be made to speed her up just a little?
