24volt 82lb thrust touring edition

I just got this on a boat I purchased, does not work. I opened it up and found shorted wires. there is a relay and a electric board that looks fine. I do not know what brand this motor is.Any ideas or suggestion greatly appreciated. thanks

No brand, no model number, no diagram, burned wires -- not much chance for help eh? Fix the wires and give it a try but they will likely burn again unless a properly sized circuit breaker(s) are used to prevent this from happening in the first place.

This is a 2002 MotorGuide tour edition 24volt 82lbs thrust, I have power going into the circuit board, but does not come out.Could the board be the problem? and if so any idea where I might find one? thanks

Google would have to be your friend here. On-line searches of E-Bay, Amazon and right here on IBoats and of course, how about Motor Guide service stations..
