2005 25Hp four stroke Motor works fine unless I have to trim motor up to get out of weeds or shadow boat launches. It turns over but won't fire.. Seems to be flooded. As long as I leave the motor lowered it works fine. Any one with similar problems and know of remedies for this would be appreciated

There's a mercury switch on the engine and I think it's designed to do just that. Keeps you from starting the motor without it being in the water.

Exactly. Quincy described just how it should work. It is not a problem.

Welcome aboard, Quincy.
