25 hp driveshaft/impeller

I am replacing impeller and can not get the locking tab in place on the driveshaft to secure the impeller-how can this be done? my engine is a 1987 Johnson- thanks, nattyboomboom

Try using a dab of grease to hold the key on shaft while you slide impeller down. Good luck

Will Bark is right! Grease works great in my opinion! Stick a blob in the key slot and stick it in there! Should hold it good enough to get the impeller over it!
