Hi everyone. I am wondering if an electric starter from a 76 Johnson 25. ( old smaller displacement block) will fit a later 1981 block. It has a flywheel from 81.
i know the part numbers are different but I also know OMC liked to keep using old parts and making little changes.
the starter was added to my 76 which is getting tired and I want to add it to the 81 I just picked up.
I would just try it but my 76 is an hour away from me right now.
all help is appreciated.
