Looking at the ignition diagram for this motor I see part #30 Sensor Assembly. What is the function of this part. I am having an issue with spark on one cylinder firing.

One sensor fires both cylinders and it is a very reliable unit.-------Look elsewhere for the problem.

It is a 2 cylinder. Reason I am asking : Was having problems with top cylinder igniting. Had great spark, both cylinders at 100 lbs. Now it is running fine but I am curious why. I sprayed parts cleaner up under the flywheel with out removing it and am running the motor on a stronger mixture of gas oil and sea foam. Was curious if Something under the flywheel got cleaned just by luck or if the added octane is a temporary fix.

Not sure why you would even spray cleaner under the flywheel.-----Dirt does not interfere with working of parts under the flywheel.--If the sensor fires one cylinder it also fires the other one.---Only one set of magnets on those flywheels.

Just a chance thinking it mat be an optical sensor. No harm done in trying.
Thanks for the info on how it works. Now I know.
