Hello all, I'm kinda new here. I have a 25 hp merc two stroke that i would like to put a tach on. It is remote and i believe the wires have already been run. I found a white plug that has a purple, gray, and white wire going into it. The problem i'm having is i cant seem to find the match to the white plug on my boat. Would it be ok to cut off the plug end and just run the wires directly to the tach? Any help would be appreciated.
