25" motor on a 30" transom

I recently purchased a Sea Ray Laguna 24 WAC with no motors

It came with 25" shaft motors

I want to put a single motor on it but the transom is 29" in the dead center so I need a 30" shaft motor correct?

Anything I can do to run a 25" shaft motor on this boat since they are more common?

The short answer is no.

Although you could put a bracket on it and mount it at the correct height for a 25".
