250 hp ob which brand is better

i am looking to get a new 250hp outboard, for a 24ft cc, but need help in picking 1 brand over the other, env, honda,merc,yammy, ect. also is 2 or 4 stroke better, i have heard pros and cons to both. i am in texas on the coast. saltwater 90% of the time. thanks for your help.

they are all great motors, availablity of service center would be one consideration. the individual price. 1/etc 2/ Yammy

Have you contacted your builder to see if your boat will support the additional weight of a 4 stoke?

My builder generally recommends against going with a 4 stroke on re-powers becouse of the weight issue. The weight difference between a 250 HP 2 stroke and a 4 stroke can be substanual.

With all things even I'd go with the Yammi F250
