I've got every bolt but 1 loose. What voodoo chant do I have to do to get the foreward-most bolt loose- the one that is right in fornt of the pivot?

I've got the rubber mounts loose and can get some movement, but I cannot on the bolt to get it out.

Leave the rubber mounts alone and get a shop manual.

Heat. Although you might not be able to apply it to the right place in this case. Sometimes its even easier to just cut or break the bolt off and after you have the powerhead off get the remaining part of it out- at least you dont have to work on it in a very cramped surrounding anymore!

As for the hailed shop manuals: The guys that write these bibles normally test all their procedures on brand new motors and I suppose theyd experience big problems, bloody fingers, broken tools and sleepless nights as fast as all of us do when theyd have to work on a real rusty p.... o.. sh..!

In one of his famous radio speeches Winston Churchill once set up the no.1 rule for any outboard mechanic:

We will never surrender!
