25ft Nordic rage top speed 6.2 vs 8.1

So after coming acress the Nordic rage 25ft mid cabin open bow boat, i am sold. I need one lol

How fast would the 8.1 496 mag engine push the 25 ft rage vs the 6.2 engine. I read that the 8.1 should do about 73? but cant find the info for the 6.2, maybe 65mph??

Is it a 375 HP or 425 HP 8.1? 6.2s are rated for 320 HP, if memory serves.

If the 425 will push the boat at 73, it will go 63 with 320 HP. If it will hit 73 with 375 HP, it will go 67 with 320 HP.

Im looking at a 2005 Rage mid cabin open bow with 120 hours on it, 496HO, 4 subs 2 amps mp3 player etc. They are asking 35,000, seemed like a fair price for a 2005. Anything that i should look out for on this kind of boat other than the basic stuff

Not to resurrect an old thread, I too am looking at finding a Rage, but no way in the world that boat goes over 60mph with the 6.2.

I had a 23' Stingray 230LX with a 6.2, and although rated 62mph in the boating mags, hitting an honest 60 with two people was about all she could do.

That being said, the 6.2 might be the base engine for the rage, I've never seen one. They are all 496's or higher it appears.
