Is the electric start remote control 25HP Merc Big Foot a good match for a 18' light pontoon boat?<br /><br />What is the points of repair problems for that model?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Red
It seems ok I just did a repower on a old crest it does vibrate the boat some though, I think the 1 lung (carb) is the issue. the 25 yam 4 st does the same thing which is common with 2 cylinders and 1 carb. bob
I use a '03 25hp Bigfoot to push my Boston Whaler 130 Sport. About 1000lbs loaded w/ two batteries, trolling motor, fuel, gear and, of course, me.<br /><br />Great engine. Pushes the Whaler very well and no hick-ups to date.
