I'm a novice boat owner who recently purchased a pontoon with a 1991 25hp Evinrude - outboard.

Here's my problem:
Boat starts o.k. and seems to idle fine. However, when I let the engine run for 1-2 minutes the engine struggles for gas and eventually the engine dies. I examined the fuel system and found that the prime is lost in the fuel line primer ball each time the engine dies.

Note: if I pump the gas line (primer ball) and feed the gas into the engine manually each time it's about to die, the motor will keep running. This is why I'm guessing the engine is starved for fuel.

So far i've replaced the gas tank, gas line with primer ball, and fuel pump Assy. The problem is still there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....
