25hp Evinrude year verification

I have a 25hp Evinrude model# E25RCSA<br />Using the "last two letters represent the year"<br />it would be a 0x, so i'm assuming the "CS" is<br />the year '80 <br />[also came on a '79 boat so would make sense]<br />Is this correct? & if so whats the "A" stand for?<br />[& also does the "R" mean anything?] <br /> <br /><br />Thanx for the help

You got it right, Waaron. It's a 1980.<br /><br />The "A" is a model run number that means nothing to you and me.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats!
