25hp mercury,several problems

I have a 1986 25hp mercury tiller control,when mounted on the boat the mounting bracket is level but the whole motor is tiped to one side,olso i have a problem with cavitation,its a great little motor if i could solve these problems? thanx for any ideas <br /><br />------------------<br /><br />muddy

Hi muddy,<br />The cavatation plate should be 1 in below the bottom of the boat. As for the tilt????<br />maybe the pivot bracket is bent or you have <br />a bad motor mount.<br />...have fun...corm

If you decide to sell your 25hp Mercury let me know becuase I need a lower unit for mine.
