25hp. problem

I have a 25 hp. model 25el75b the problem is it is running real bad then stalls then won't turn over.when i take the plugs out it turns over easy.i changed plugs fuel pump.any suggestions?

When you say it won't turn over, what exactly do you mean? Please be specific.

it will run for a few minutes then stalls out then it will not start.when it does run its like only 1 cylinder is firing.what i mean about not turning over it is like its locking up it will barely turn over.the starter has been recently replaced also,new battery,.thanks for any help.

Are you sure that it is not overheating?

not sure about the overheating it hasn't been a problem before though.i did shear a pin before all this started maybe i sucked something in then.

Overheating was my thought also. Whenever it's running and up to temp, you need to be able to lay your fingers on the head for 2-3 seconds. If it's too hot for that, it's probably overheating. <br /><br />When was the water pump impeller replaced last?<br /><br />Also make sure all connections from the battery to the solenoid, and the solenoid to the starter are in good shape. They can look clean, but be making poor connection. Best to remove them, clean, and re-connect.
