1984 to older 25hp has no cross flow on prop

only 1985 to up 25hp has cross flow on prop

does it speed differnt ?

does cross flow speed little faster than non-cross flow????

Re: 25hp vs 25hp with cross flow prop?

I don't know what a "cross flow prop"refers to.I'm guessing you mean a "through hub exhaust" prop. Speed is likely slightly better because the setup on the boat can be refined better.
Higher motor position has less drag.exhaust flow is slightly less restricted.
Also the horsepower rating on most motors 1985 on is rated at the prop.
older motors were rated at the crank/flywheel.Motors rated at the crank may have up to about 10% less horsepower at the prop. Thus an 84 or older motor would be about 22 1/2 hp at the prop.
