This is my first post but I've all ready learned so much on this forum. I have a 26' trailer-able houseboat I've stripped down to the hull and I'm replacing the stringers now. My question concerns having the finish boat weighing to much. I've seen other yukon rebuilds and they defenitly added weight from the original. I don't want to spend all winter building a beautiful strong boat that all but sinks when it hits the water. Any thoughts or lessons learned that might help in the design of the boat and cabin? I'm new to working on boats, but Ive been a carpenter for 38 years. Thanks Builderbob1

Well Bob, Welcome to iboats

If you have done construction, then you know what you need to know.
Do a search on NADA and see if they have the weight listed. then take your materials and weigh them and try to stay as close as possible.
Also when you did the demo you saw how it was built, try to do as the original builder did.
Then you should be fine.

A quick look says you should be around 2200 lbs dry weight.
