270 leg oil.

I’m sire this has been asked a million times. But I read that the Volvo drive 270 takes engine oil as lube. I just got this boat and going through it and drained leg oil and it has gear oil in it. First Volvo for me. All others I’ve owned have been gear oil.

Just refill the drive with engine oil. If the oil is too heavy the drive will not engage properly or slip then slam into full engagement.
