Hey Guys Been boating this summer after my bellows replacement and I've had clean Oil for about 10 trips. Untill this weekend. Came home and took the cover off the OutDrive and noticed a small stream of oil comming out of the center of the shifting Mechanisim. I just wondered if it is truly as easy as it looks. Can I just take those 4 bolts off and Replace the o ring or should I replace more than one while I have it off ? Cant really tell on teh diagram if I need to order more than one O ring.... Just sitting here at work Stewing.....
Thanks for any advise !
Joe

I'm thinking I'll need Part Numbers:
O ring- 925093
Sealing ring- 958838
Just needing to know what if any pitfalls there could be pulling the shift mechanisim out ?

Once you remove the 4 bolts, the shift mechanism will come out.
Then you will have to remove a very small roll pin and remove the detent pin then the shift arm can be pulled out of the housing to access the seal.

Yes, I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm having the same issue but can't figure out how to get the pins out to change the "sealing ring" of the "shift mechanism" <--- names taken from the parts manual.
Is there something in particular I need to do in order to remove the pins? There doesn't seem to be a head--like a screw-- and frankly I thought it (part 7 in the diagram) was a rivet and I needed to have it rebuilt.
