Hey guys,
Our pontoon is used on a little inland lake that's loaded with weeds / sticks etc and we chew through lots of aluminum props, I can't find a stainless anywhere do they not exist? The right splines and dimensions are a solas 2121-093-10 but it says not compatible. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

What is your model# ? That solas prop won't work because I don't believe you have thru-hub exhaust. You need the prop off of an earlier 20/25 or your 28 hp motor.

If it is a 28hp from the early to mid 1960s, it is going to need the same prop line as the 40hp of that time

Sorry i left that detail out, It's a late 80s early 90s- it's up at the cabin and I'm home suffering through the workweek until Friday the 11th.

Aluminum props sacrifice themselves to save your gearcase parts. If you're eating props and switch to stainless you may end up eating gears instead.

The two SST props listed above by flyingscott should fit your motor, but they are 9" pitch. Is that enough?

Btw, I have been running a SST on my 1984 35hp since the day the motor came out of the box. It has clobbered a lot of rocks and oyster beds and only has a few minor nicks. And it hasn't hurt the motor.

I'm not sure how much difference I'd notice from 9 to a 10 pitch, we honestly creep around the 110 acre lake.
