I'm torn between purchasing a 289 or 285 model to put in a slip in Dana Point Ca. Which one will ride better in the water? Also is it necessary to pull the boat out of the water every 18 months for service on the outdrive. That's what a mechanic told me. Seems a little quick and expensive? Anyone know about these models? Thanks for any feedback.
