First trip this season, port side out drive slipped out of gear, tried to re-engage , no luck.
Got back to the marina, unit shifted into gear fine, but started to whine, then the engine stalled as if something had seized, now engine won't turn over , not a starter problem , engine is not seized.
So, I'm guessing its a a problem in the top end of the out drive, or is it possible that its the gimbal bearing.
I did do something , that might have precipitated the failure, I unlocked the drives to lift them up to paint them, and forgot to
lock them back down, so when I went to back into the slip, they both lifted out of the water.
Ahh @@##$%#$^!!!!, what now!!
Any Ideas ???
Thanks Ed
