i took the time to go through the different forums and was ont able to find specific answer...therefore: just purchased 12' boat (built 1975), came with small outboard (mod # 2r77c, s/n e4613175). Looks like the "choke" buttom is missing. Have tried turning on (got I got it from told me he used it last year)but it won't start. three questions: a) what year is the engine so I can look up owners/repair manual, b) is there an acutal "choke" buttom on this model? c) if so, is there any way to adjust the engine so it can start even if it's missing the bottom? thanks to all (ps: don't spare the whip...even popeye started out as a "cadet"...) all starterd second
