2nd battery

I want to add a second battery. i have a battery switch that goes from batt 1, batt 2 and both. connecting that is understood. can I jump the negative from one battery to the other for a ground?

Yup! It's best if both batteries are grounded separately PLUS the jumper, but I rarely see it. Most do just fine with just the jumper.

A word of caution ... don't switch while the motor is running or you can damage the charging system.

can i run a second ground to the motor on the same nut as the first
