2nd depth finder

is it possible to hook up a 2nd depth finder to the first and utilize the same sensor?

Yes....But I think they need to be the same brand. Go to the manf.. website and look for a transducer selector switch.

Unless there is some sort of new feature, master/slave, only one head unit can talk to one transducer. The switch is either or, but not both. The switch allows you to have one head mounted by your instrument panel, and the other say from your primary fishing position, usually bow or stern. Switch is usually mounted near instrument panel. With some units, you can just use and station, and just move the head unit. If you go with two seperate head units, not only do both have to be the same brand, both have to be able to use the transducer that you have. ie multiple beam transducer might not work with single beam head unit or visa versa. You will need to check with manufacturer.

where in upstate is good to fish? i am new to the area (syracuse) and i would like to know some good spots.
