hey I was thinking it would help me out if i could install a new vent tube fitting on my plastic under floor fuel tank.

I have looked for a new one to replace it with, some are close to the right specs, but not exactly and I cant find one the right size.

Could I drank the fuel out and install a new one?

What? Are you wanting to replace an existing hose with a new one or add an additional one? Got and pics of what you are talking about? It will help you immensely to get a reply.

Re: 2nd vent hose

I have pull the floor access panel up to get pics. I will in a few weeks when I am done with the boat for the year.

To try to keep my explanation short. The vent fitting and tube is located at the front of the under the floor 17 gallon plastic tank. The tank is orginal in the boat which is a 1989 sylvan supersportster. the tank appears to have "bubbled up " in the top middle of the tank, and is not venting properly when filling up.

So i was thinkin if I added a vent at the back of the tank, and bought one of those fill/vent caps, instead of the strickly fill cap I have now on my splash well, It would help me fill up the tank with out gas bubbling back out the fill tube..

thanks
