please help!!!!
I have a 1989 3.0 mercruiser, the problem is it takes about 5 minutes of cranking to get it to start, Doesn't matter if I pump the throttle a couple of times or I give it just alittle gas and start cranking. after all the cranking I have to open it wide open and about 15 second or so it will finally start.
I have a brand new complete tune-up including plugs, cap and button and also new wires and a new carb kit just a couple of weeks earlier.
I have checked the spark and it is just a orange or red spark, shouldn't it be a blue spark. Do I have a weak spark??? I am totally confused and don't know where to look next ..
I also want to mention that after it is running and warmed up it runs great .no hesitation no complaints at all.
what could be causing this????
