Hi all. I resurected an old 3.0 hp Gamefisher (model # 298-586190) (made by Tanaka, I believe). The little thing runs great, but the prop isn't spinning. It's an automatic drive, so no gears to change etc.... Any ideas about how to go about restoring prop function?

Thanks!

Hello all. Thanks for the advice. I got it all worked out (I hope). It turned out that a cylindrical, rubber grommet designed to keep the drive shaft centered in the prop tube was too low in bottom of the prop tube so that when I went to seat the prop tube in the lower unit clamp it formed sort of an air cushion which prevented the the prop tube from becoming full seated in the clamp. After I pushed the grommet a bit higher up in the tube the problem went away. Everything is now reassembled and holds together at high rpm. Can't wait to get it on the water. Thanks again to all who helped! iBoats is AWESOME!
