I love this little 1987 3.0 liter Mercruiser but I can't find any marks that identifys who the manufacturer is - i.e. Ford or GM??? I'm new to sterndrive marine engines and I don't have a good manual yet. What I like about the 3.0 liter is that, aside from a water-cooled intake and exhaust manifold, and a few other marine-type accessories, the damn thing isn't too far removed from early pre-electronics automobile 4-cylinder engines (---the 50's and 60's!) It's a pleasure to not be staring at a collection of electronic gobbly-gook that takes an electronics degree and several thousand dollars worth of computers before you can remove the first nut to get at a problem.
