Hi,
Can anybody tell me if the Carter mechanical fuel pump no.60337 is a suitable replacement on the 3.0 litre volvo penta engine, year 2001.
The part number is 3854858 for the volvo penta pump. This Carter pump is used on Mercruiser. The reason I ask is that I fitted this pump to the engine and there is too much fuel been supplied at idle. Could be the carburetor float or to high fuel pressure. Does anyone know the part no. for a aftermarket fuel pump for the Volvo penta engine. It has a 2 barrel holley 2300 carb fittted.
