I just wanted to thank all of you who have helped me over the last several weeks with my new 3.0l GM longblock install/full rebuild (the one from the cracked block/flooded bilge problem). Last night for the first time in over a year, I slapped on the muffs, adjusted the timing a bit and got it started...let it warm up, then timed the engine correctly. She kicks over perfect now, and sounds great. There are no issues shifting, the electrical systems are all functioning properly. All that is left to do now, is to put all of the interior stuff back in (seats, etc), renew my sticker, water test her, and break in the engine...then enjoy!

Again, HUGE thanks to both all of you who posted directly on my question posts, as well as all of the other threads that were a great source of information. I was able to save over $2000 on this project thanks in great part to the community at iboats. Plus I now know and understand every piece, part, bolt, and gasket on my engine.

If you are out there this weekend, tell the fish to watch out, because I am back, and I will be coming for them soon...
