3.0 merc over rpm

hello to everyone.
i just got a new stingray which has a 1995 3.0L mercruiser with alpha one outdrive. i know that the rpm range should be on about 4600 rpm but myne goes up to 5400 rpm is that ok? and if not how can i fix this problem and whats the right rpm range on this engines? thanks for helping

Go the the adults only thread at the top of the page, download the correct Mercruiser maintenance manual. The correct Wide Open Throttle range will be listed. Size your propeller to move your engines rpm into the listed range.
