hello, i just bought a used 1996 17ft maxum bowrider with a 3.0 mercruiser and when trying to adjust my trim there is no clicking or any sign of power getting to the trim hydraulic pump. My wife bought it for me when i was out on deployment and took it out to the lake with no problems.I tried with the key on and the engine running with no joy. Any suggestions?

First thing I'd do would be to check all of your electrical connections - make sure they are all tight and squeaky clean. If that fails then go to your trim solenoid. They do fail on occasion. Not a bear of a job to replace.
Check here on the parts section - more than likely will have exactly what you are looking for - if needed.

Go up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of this forum, and locate the service manual link. Download manual#14 and go to the troubleshooting section. There are wiring diagrams, and detailed instructions on finding your problem.
