3.0 oil pickup tube

Hi guys. I'm looking for an oil pickup tube and screen and I"m wondering if it has to be the mercury/sierra pickup? They're about 5 times more expensive than the automotive version and I'd like to save a bit of money if it's the same.

I`d say the automotive one will work if it is made in the same profile tack weld or Red LocTite in place

Ayuh,..... Cool page, but actually misleadin',.....

The 153 is the 2.5l little sister of the 3.0l motor,.....
The 153 is Not still in production,....
The 181 motor is still in production,..... 'n hasn't been used in cars,......

I do like that he points out these boat motors are not the Iron Duke,... which is a 2.5l Pontiac motor,......
Completely different than the 153 motor, 'n the 181 motor,.....

I'll explore the page more, later,.....

Iron Duke there not, you should find the write up in the 292 aka 300 six.Mildly worked it will go to 350 Hp
