I'm adjusting the idle of my boat 3.0 140-hp OMC
1979 (GM)if I set to 600-700 using the water hose
(muffs)the engine is almost died.

Do I have to adjust the idle while in the water.
The timing is okey, compression is okey. Your recommedation are highly appreciated.By the way the carb is Rochester 2-BBL(2-jets)the air mixing and gas seems okey. Bt the way if you are facing the carb which one is the air left or right. Thanks.

They are both air. One for each carburetor bore. You should have them both adjusted about the same.
