3.0 omc starts but won't stay running@$%!$#?

I have an 89 sunbird with the 3.0 OMC and I just replaced starter solenoid, points and condenser and now it starts but it dies imediatly. I have good fuel pumping so I have reason to believe it is more an electrical issue, just can't find it. Someone suggested replacing the ignition switch...??? checked all the fuses I could find in engine compartment, they looked good? Any help would be much appriciated.

I had a similar issue with my 96 Sunbird, it would start but not keep running. It wound up being a defective kill switch, might want to start looking there.

I went through this a few years ago with a boat I had. I agree with Chris that you should check the kill switch. Just wire around it for the time being and see. I had brought mine to a mechanic and was very confused because like you I had checked everything I could think of. I am not much of a mechanic either (thats putting it mildly)

He got the last laugh on that one when it was just the switch.

It could also be the resistance wire (or ballast resistor if fitted)....
