Runs, idles and revs just fine on the muffs, but when I pulled it 3 hrs to Lake Travis (Austin, TX) this weekend, it wouldn't do anything more than 2500 RPMs. Idled and shifted in Forward and Reverse just fine. I had 6 Adults on the boat, so it was under quite a load. When I got anywhere above 2500 RPMs it would bog and die unless I pulled the trottle back to idle quickly, where it would continue idling fine. If I left the throttle engaged, it would come back and die completely. I did overfill the gas tank when we first got to the lake... Had the boat facing downhill and blew Chevron 93 out the filler hole (on the back of the boat) so I was wondering if the overfull gas tank would cause this problem... if the breather wasn't able to breath properly. I've had the carb rebuilt this season already, but it almost seems like the high RPM jets need a clean if it's not the overfull gas tank. I haven't checked the fuel filter yet either (replaced it earlier this season already). So in regards to the overfueled issue, can this cause it to bog down and die the moment I get over 2500?
Thanks in advance...
