I have a 96 17' bayliner with 3.0. I am getting water in the oil. I flushed it real good 3 times with diesel and changed the oil twice. I was hoping water got in from being uncovered according to the previous owner. Spent the day on the water and put 20 miles on it and parked it. Today I drained the oil and its real milky again. Is there something common on these 3.0's? Manifold or riser? Its used in brackish water. Where do I begin to look before going with an overhaul? It does have low compression on cyl 4 at idle but I'm trying to get some use out of it before I get an overhaul done. It runs good besides low idle! Thanks.
