Hello on a 3.0L Mercruiser. The carb bogs out from idle to throttling up. Has new fuel pump, new fuel lines, and new fuel. Rebuilt carb didn’t really see anything that said thats it. Put new intake to carb gasket on. The choke is fully opened. Timing set on the money. I’m thinking needs to have orifices replace. It run great !! But have to double pump it to go into high RPM
Thanks
Mike

this would tell me that the idle passages didn't get clean. If you open the idle mix screw does it change things

Does the Accelerator Pump function?
Who rebuilt the Carb?
Were all the Passages cleaned properly?
Float adjusted correctly?
Float still buoyant?
All Internal gaskets in Carb correct, and installed correctly?
Orifices NEVER Wear out. They may Clog up with Dirt/Gum/Varnish, but they don't wear out. They can get Damaged by Ham Fisted Mechanics, who ram Wires through them, or drill them out

Yes acceleration pump working. Its new all the gaskets are new. Float new and adjusted to spec. All passages are clear. Timing advance is working. I rebuilt the carb. Sorry I didn’t mention that its a new carb. Never worked right from the start. I know orifices dont wear.

New Carb? A genuine Merc Carb, or some cheap Asian Knock off? Do you have the the Original Carb?
