3.0L mercruiser carb question?

Can anyone direct me to a diagram of a 3.0L carb.<br />put new internal pump and gasket set but cant figure out on the butterfly linkage re-installation. Thank you

Even more of a problem. You may have a 1990 boat, but the engine could be 89 or even earlier.<br />Then Merc made a major change between 89 and 90, plus a SN break on the 90 Mercarbs, then you have both Mercarb and Rochester in 89 and earlier.<br /><br />Got a SN for the engine handy?????

Don and Bondo thx for the reply, finally fixed the linkage after 3 advil! I have a new question/ took the boat out on the ohio river for the first time since I bought it. did all major mat.. on it, question is this thing idles great, but when I kick it for throttle it itermittenly cuts out, with the valves making alot of noise. so is there a way to siphon out the gas, it had old fuel in it with stabilizer so I topped off and....<br />I did try to siphon but a garden or 3/8 " hose would not go far enough. Why did you try to siphon the gas? <br /><br />Have you tried some of the more common things like troubleshooting. Maybe checking the fuel filters for dirt and water, ignition system, doing a full tuneup.<br />Has this boat been sitting for a long time?

Yeah Don about 3 years, I have done a full tune with the exception of draining the old fuel.Plugs,wires,dist makovr,impellar,fuel filter,oil chg, carb gaskts, accelerator pump, drive oil chng,trim hyd chng,the old gas did reek of stabilizer too. Thanks for your help
