I have a 1996 Larson with a 3.0L in it. This weekend the starter went on vacation so I picked up a new one and installed it but now once the engine turns over and cranks I get a loud whining noise like the starter gear is not disengaging quick enough. Any ideas, I don't want to tear up a new starter???
