Hey Guys,
I need some advice; I have a 2001-02 Volvo Penta 3.0l GSP-B with a SX-M Drive. I over heated the engine pretty badly early in the summer. This caused water to get into the cylinder head, I replace the head and exhaust manifold gaskets and everything appeared to be ok until now. I am now getting a lot of water into the rear cylinder again and also snapped a starter bolt. Is there a way to trouble shoot my problem? Example: does the head need to be replaced or the exhaust manifold or should both be replaced. There are no visible signs of cracking or warping but my eyes are not the best tools in the box. Can I be getting water in through the manifold while the boat is sitting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
