3.3hp year identification help

As the title suggests i am looking for some help identifying the year of our engine. It is a mariner 3.3hp the only serial number i can find is '09784556' the serial number label is a bit tatty but i am almost certain this number is correct, if not then its the 0 at the start that may not be correct as it is very difficult to make out.

all help welcome both on the year and any other need to knows on this engine

I believe it is probably a 1993. Here is a chart of the Mariner 3.3's with the serial numbers and matching years.
