3/4 throttle or full throttle when it feels like it

Take a look at the two photos one is where the cam roller stops at full throttle and ine is where it has been stopping about every second or third moving of the shifter to full throttle. What is keeping the roller fromm going the full distance as if it stops short all you have to do is move the roller a tad and it snaps open to full throttle.

This is driving me batty as one time the motor runs at full throttle and the next time you start the motor it does not.

mine has done that before after the carb was rebuilt and other stuff, but i beleive that it stopped doing it.

This is no help i know, but just telling you your not the only one.

I did mess with the cam roller, on how it touches the cam follower and when the butterfly oppened but that made no difference so i adjusted it back. Sometimes i noticed "i think" that a shift to neutral than back to foward elimnated it, maybe just coincidence as i had motor off and just twisting it in the yard, while working on it. My motor is a 70' rude 25hp tiller steer. One thing i just thought of is if yours is tiller steer maybe something is binding in the tiller handle like linkages or something causing it to bind up. Grease the handle zerks if applicable.

The timer base might be sticking I will have to tinker with it and watch it closer.
