3.5 nissan boggs out in low

i have a 3.5 nissan (newer) it hasnt ran in over a year, i changed the plug and tried to start it, but it wont start with out me spraying starter fluid in the carb, it will run but it boggs out when i put it in low idol..... n e know what the problem is????? should i take off the carb and clean it out????

Yep, sounds like time to clean out the carb with a proper soaking.

STOP using the starting fluid,You'll destroy the engine! Use a 50/50 premix in a spray bottle.Sounds like it's carb rebuild time, but check the gas for water and dirt first and change the filter.GL Ted
