3.5 Tohatsu problems

I have a 3.5 Tohatsu two stroke. It runs for about 30 seconds and dies. I had the mechanic replace the needle in the floater but nothing has changed.

Any suggestions? It has new spark plug.

You need a proper diagnosis to confirm whether you have an ignition or fuel problem. Just changing out the needle and seat is merely throwing parts at it, until you have diagnosed what is malfunctioning. If you determine that there is a fuel issue, do a proper, thorough, and meticulous carb cleaning.
